About
Çiçekpınar is a settlement located 4 km from the district of Şarkikaraağaç, covering an area of approximately 24 km². Of this area, 6 km² consists of residential zones, while 18 km² is dedicated to agricultural land. Administratively, the settlement comprises 3 neighborhoods, 8 avenues, and approximately 120 streets. Additionally, it serves as a critical transit route connecting 10 villages and the district center, resulting in a heavy traffic flow.
Geographical Location
Çiçekpınar is situated 4 km west of Şarkikaraağaç on the Yenişarbademli road. The town is surrounded by the villages of Fakılar to the southwest, Ördekçi and Yakaemir to the west, and Çavundur and Göksöğüt to the northwest. Kızıldağ lies to the south, while the district center of Şarkikaraağaç is located to the east. A continental climate prevails in the region.
Geographical Indication
The most significant agricultural asset of the region is the Çiçekpınar Yoncası (Alfalfa), which is protected by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office under registration number 1532. Known for its high protein content (15%+) and resistance to drought, this strategic product is the cornerstone of the local economy.
Education and Culture
Educational activities in our town began in the 1944-1945 academic year. Çiçekpınar Secondary School commenced operations in 1975-1976, followed by Çiçekpınar High School in 1987-1988. The Çiçekpınar Public Library was opened on September 14, 1985, to serve the community’s cultural needs.
Places of Worship
• Merkez Mosque: Completed in 1330 (Hijri).
• Aşağı Mosque: Built in 1957.
• Çördük Mosque: Completed in 1967.
• Yeni Mosque: Built in 1981.
• Kızılkır Mosque: Opened for worship in 2011.
• Sanayi Mescid: Completed in 2008.
Additionally, the town features two landscaped cemeteries.
